Hello and Bonjour!
I have been teaching elementary grades since 1989; wow that sounds like a long time! I've taught in grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and one year in 6th. 4th grade is where I have been the longest, and I absolutely love the age of the students and the curriculum. As a Southern California teacher, our Social Studies focus is California history which is so much fun to teach and the students get excited learning about the CA Gold Rush. :)
I started this blog as a place to share what is working in my classroom and the strategies or "best practices" that I am using with my students. I believe it's important to share and have conversations with other educators about what methods work best when teaching certain concepts. I look forward to getting feedback from others on what is working for them as well.
